This is a striking vintage 50s cocktail dress dating to the late 1950s that comes with a matching jacket. This 50s cocktail dress has a scoop neckline, cap sleeves and a defined waistline. There are two small bows under the front neckline and loops for a belt at the waist, but no belt is supplied. The jacket is loose fitting with no closures and has notched lapels and elbow length sleeves. The dress is nicely constructed, unlined and closes at the left side with a Lion brand pull metal zipper. The dress is made in a below the knee length.
Fabric: Copper brown brocade with black flowers, very striking
Label: Canadian International Ladies Garment Workers Union label that was used from 1956 until 1967
